Part of the Jean Lafitte National Park & Preserve system, this 23,000-acre stretch of bayous, swamps, marshes, and forests offers a glimpse into Louisiana’s wild wetlands.
Airboat Adventures
At the dock in Jean Lafitte, you can purchase snacks and visit the albino alligator exhibit before boarding your airboat. Feel the thrill as you skim across the wetlands, guided by a local captain who shares stories of the area’s history and culture. Spot alligators, raccoons, native birds, and nutria in their natural habitat. After 1 hour and 45 minutes on the boat, return to central New Orleans by coach.
